“I
have come to cast fire on the earth,
and how I wish it were already kindled.”
(Luke
12:49)
This Scripture
text inspired the entire life and every action of our foundress Marie-Rose
Durocher.
It reminds us that our spirituality
is rooted in the Gospel.
Like Jesus, we are sent to liberate,
to call to wholeness and to be instruments
of Peace and Love.
Disciples like Mary, we are sent to embody in our time the attitudes,
actions and words of Jesus.
(Acts of the 28th General Chapter,
1986)

“We
desire God.
We desire what God desires.
We desire God’s
justice,
tenderness and communion.”
(Acts of
the 30th General Chapter, 1996)
Contemplation
in action
is the creative energy
at the heart of our mission.
It encourages us to journey together
into the mystery of God
which is revealed in creation,
in the people we meet,
in our times of celebration and sharing,
in our undertakings for justice,
in the unity which we build among ourselves
and with others.
